iPlayMusic Launches New Kids and Family Beginner Guitar Lessons DVD, Enters Distribution Agreement with Mel Bay.

iPlayMusic, a developer of interactive guitar lessons, announced the release of its new Kids and Family Beginner Guitar Lessons DVD and a distribution agreement with Mel Bay Publications.

The iPlayMusic Kids and Family Beginner Guitar Lessons DVD is specifically designed for families with children to learn guitar and play along together. For parents and older children, the DVD features simple lessons that include iPlayMusic’s “karaoke-style” learning method, a fun and effective approach that makes it easy to play songs right away. For younger children, the DVD includes teaching segments with a playful and engaging puppet named “Capo, who helps the instructor introduce musical concepts and performs with the instructor during the play-along video segments, which are embellished with visual themes that small children will enjoy. Young children can learn rhythm and enjoy the music and video while their parents or older siblings learn to play. Lessons including Capo can be turned on or off depending on the age groups using the DVD.

“We gathered feedback from dozens of parents who want to learn to play guitar with their kids, or at least enjoy music together. We developed the DVD in response to their needs. Our learning method is a great way for parents and older kids to get started playing guitar; and by including a puppet we also encourage young children to participate and remain engaged while parents and older children are playing guitar.
